Akshara Gowda is eating breakfast in her bathing suit. In a new social media post the Indian actress shows off her fit figure in a two-piece swimsuit while nibbling on a meal. "Breakfast is served," she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. "HOT 🔥🔥🔥🥵🥵" commented one of her followers. "Damn girl 🤩🤩🤩🤩" added another. How does the 32-year-old approach health and wellness? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

When it comes to exercise, Akshara likes to get her zen on. "I practice yoga," she told Deccan Chronicle. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."

While on vacation, you can find Akshara snorkeling. "Happinesses is when you are your bestie snorkel hand in hand," she captioned a post. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Akshara travels to Mumbai for lessons in aerial silk fitness under trainer Aditi Deshpande. "But I get bored with that routine. Aerial silk fitness is something new. And after I took a couple of trial classes, I was hooked! The trainers make it a lot more fun by mixing gymnastics, dance and yoga. I like the challenge, since you can't predict what will happen at each session," she told Deccan Chronicle.

Akshara recently went on a major hike with her pal Pooja Chen. "In the wild, chasing waterfalls with your bestie hits different!" Chen captioned a video of the two celebrating their long trek with a soak under a waterfall. "This one was at Kanto Lampo waterfall in Bali and unlike other waterfalls this one was safe to stand or sit under. This waterfall is also very easy to get to and you don't have to go through miles and miles of hiking and trekking to reach here. If you are a photography enthusiast, you can climb up the rocks on the top of the waterfall and get some nice, instagram worthy pictures."

She also loves "dance and zumba," she told the Deccan Chronicle. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.
