Rumors have already started to swirl that Bravo has found Bethenny Frankel’s replacement for Season 12 of Real Housewives of New York, but the cast is still talking about the SkinnyGirl mogul’s shocking exit. While most have expressed their sadness that Frankel is leaving, they wish Frankel the best as she moves on to the next chapter of her life.
“Never can say goodbye. This is just a page in time. I’m happy that all the best is yet to come for my friend B. Best Mom to Bryn, Biggy, Smallz & entrepreneur as she continues to empower others,” wrote Sonja Morgan on Instagram.

Luann de Lesseps also paid tribute to her friend by posting a picture of the two ladies hanging out with Jennifer Lawrence on the set of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and writing in the caption that they had a great run with a lot of memories, and she wishes Frankel nothing but the best.
De Lesseps later told Entertainment Tonight that it’s always sad to see someone leave the show, especially when it’s a fellow OG. But, even though they have had their ups and downs, de Lesseps chooses “to remember the ups.”
In her statement, Tinsley Mortimer said that Frankel is a “legend” and she is “very sad” that they won’t be working together anymore. Mortimer called Frankel a great mentor and friend, and she is thankful that Bravo gave her the opportunity to work with her.
Shortly after Frankel’s announcement, Ramona Singer said that she didn’t tell her RHONY co-stars about her decision ahead of time. However, she did reach out to everyone the next day, and the conversations were “nice and supportive.”
Still, Frankel’s sudden exit has left everyone at RHONY feeling “a bit lost,” says an insider because filming for Season 12 had begun just hours before Frankel confirmed she was leaving.
“Usually before a season, these women have some idea what the next few months will look like based on the dynamics of the group, but this has left everyone a bit lost,” says the source.

The insider also revealed that Bravo had previously tested a few women for a spot in the cast, and rumor has it that Mortimer’s friend Leah McSweeney will be Frankel’s replacement. However, Bravo will not comment on their casting decisions, so fans will just have to wait and see what the network decides to do.
Either way, Singer says that the show will go on and be just fine without Frankel.
