Cam’ron has recalled a time where he didn’t pass the ball to Ma$e during a high school basketball game and how that move set the tone for their careers decades later.
In a video clip posted to Cam’s Instagram page on Tuesday (May 23), the former Manhattan Center High School basketball teammates went back and forth on why Killa Cam should have passed Ma$e the ball in the PSAL (Public School Athletics League) championship game in 1992.

“I think our shit worked out just fine man,” Cam said regarding his decision not to pass the ball as a star athlete. He then gave a play-by-play description of what actually happened while footage of the PSAL game played in unison.
“Look, I’m cookin, first basketball of the game,” Cam’ron said. “That’s me. What I do here? Come down, slap boards, get away from me. Right here. I’m ’bout to take off on him, he flagrant foul me, I don’t blame him. He was about to be a victim. Another basket. Where I’m at right here? Through the lane. Floaties! Yeah that’s me.”

He continued: “Behind the back, nah I ain’t goin’ that way. Lose it, get it back, and 1. Ah! Tough! I come around right here. Dish. ‘Bout my eighth assist of the game. Mid-range game, yeah. So right here, it’s Four point two seconds left. I don’t know I’m getting the rebound. Four seconds left. Corey Wright misses, it bounces off front rim. I get it, look, four, three, two, one, I don’t see nobody to pass.”
“Murda mad at me. He throw a tantrum. I was hot. Now look, I make that shot, that means you go to college, I go to college, we go to the league overseas, whatever. Our career would have been over! You wouldn’t have sold 10 million records, I wouldn’t have sold the records. I think I made the right choice. Hit or miss. He still mad at me about this shit. Till this day! Murda we still professionals!”
Cam’ron then elaborated more in his caption about his viewpoint of the entire sports ordeal.
“Everyone said I shoulda passed to murder @rsvpmase on the @itiswhatitis_talk page, ok fine let me state my case,” Cam said. “I make that shot our careers woulda been over at this point in life Lol. Now Look we getting more money then ever. [emoji shrug] and it was only 4.1 seconds when I got the rebound. What y’all think? [face plant emoji].”
