If you’ve ever seen the music video for Post Malone’s collab with Ty Dolla $ign, you probably noticed something unusual. So, does that mean that Post Malone actually owns a tank?

No, Post Malone doesn’t own a tank—but he’s certainly been seen in one. The artist used one in the music video for the hit “Psycho” and has also been known to enjoy military equipment even when he’s not filming.

Post Malone never ceases to shock and amaze fans. You can never guess what’s going to happen next for the artist—and this goes for his music videos, too.

Post Malone is a big fan of guns and he loves protecting his second amendment. But does this mean that he owns a tank? Not exactly.

A Love for Guns

It’s no secret that Post Malone loves guns. He’s an NRA member and he chose his $3 million Utah mansion because the state has some of the most relaxed gun laws in the United States.

He also loves bigger weapons. In 2018, Post posted a video of him riding around Las Vegas in a heavily armored humvee (equipped with a fake fully automatic machine gun). He was able to do so thanks to Battlefield Vegas, a popular shooting range that permits full-auto machine guns.

If that’s not exciting enough, customers can drive around in tanks and armored vehicles on their property. That is what Post was doing, which ended up earning him a lot of backlash from fans (it was shortly after the deadly Las Vegas shooting).

Music and Military Equipment

Music videos have always been a way for artists to not only express themselves, but also have a lot of fun doing so.

We’ve seen some pretty crazy music videos throughout the years, too. From Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer” to Die Antwood’s “Ugly Boy,” sometimes the weirdest music videos are also the most memorable.

Perhaps hoping to make it into that category, Post Malone’s 2018 video for “Psycho” is certainly… unique. In it, Post Malone rides around on the top of a heavily armored personnel carrier. The clip takes place in what appears to be a post-apocalyptic desert world, which includes a demonic wolf.

At the height of the song, Post kills the evil wolf with a flamethrower.

A flamethrower and a tank? What more could the young artist want?

Tank Conspiracy Theories

Maybe Post Malone just wanted to have fun while shooting the music video? Maybe he just has a love for tanks and weapons? Or maybe there’s something more to all of this than we think…

Ironically (or perhaps totally planned?), the “Psycho” video was released nearly 15 years to the day after the US and the UK invaded Iraq. The post-apocalyptic desert scene? Some have been left wondering if that was intended to look like an Iraqui desert.

As for Post himself, a white dude in a tank with a flamethrower has left some wondering if that’s supposed to represent Tony Blair or George W. Bush, as they were the leaders behind the invasion of Iraq.

The theories continue to spiral out of control—or make more sense, depending on who you ask. Some view that the demonic wolf was killed without being able to speak for itself. Post is riding around in a tank with an anti-wolf flag, and even poses like Christ at one point before torching the wolf. Does he represent the Christ or the Antichrist?

Then the snow at the end of the movie video could be linked to a 2017 anime when friends try to survive in the ruins of society after a war. The theories really do get this crazy.

No one can neither deny nor confirm the motivations behind this music video. But one thing is for sure—it’s certainly got a lot of people talking.

Post Malone doesn’t have a tank—but he isn’t shy about riding around in them. As the artist continues getting richer and crazier, who knows? He could be joyriding in a tank on his Utah property one day soon.
