Tips to Farm
- Sand or clay soil are considered poor soil to plant.
- For starters having a deep or very deep soil layer can help, or the caverns usually got good farmlands should you be able to irrigate some mud.
- If you accept the poor soil, your dwarfs will learn to live with it.
- Best farmland is at caverns but those places are a bit hostile (depending on luck). id go there when you get 5-6 other race mercenaries and around 10 armored and trained dwarfs, so around 8h gametime or 9h.
Important Note
Dwarven plants like plump helmets, cave wheat, and the like can’t be grown above-ground.
