Karen's father is the late Benjamin Wooden Jr, Aunt Val's brother. The family tree may be traced back to John Mallory Wooden, Benjamin, Aunt Val's paternal grandfather, and Karen's great-grandfather.

Karen's Aunt Val is in charge of the 82-acre family estate, and it appears that Karen's relatives have chosen her to talk with Val about the destiny of their ancestral property.

In a preview for the December 17 episode, Karen told her 'RHOP' co-stars that she is planning to buy a portion from Aunt Val. In her confessional, she revealed, "It took me almost a year to get my aunt Val to agree to sell me a piece of her land."

Karen talked about her second passion project that involved her ancestry during BravoCon 2023. Growing up on a farm in Virginia that has been in her family for a century has given Karen a strong sense of familial ties and origins.

"You guys know I own the slave plantation I'm from, right?" she said. "So, I bought my grandmother's estate," she said, "And I'm turning that into a guest house, the Grand Dame."

Karen said, "So, La'Dame will be there. And you guys can have experiences there. Stay tuned."

What happened to 'RHOP' star Karen Huger's parents?

Karen's mother died of renal failure on Thanksgiving morning in late 2017. Her father, Benjamin B Wooden Jr, died months after her mother died from Alzheimer's disease.

In a separate confessional, Karen shares, "My parents were great teachers, and they taught me to give back, and they are the foundation I stand on. So my children will stand on me as their foundation, and my grandkids as well."

But now she thinks the triple-20 made Karen think, "What am I leaving? What type of legacy am I leaving?"

How many children does 'RHOP' star Karen Huger have?

Karen provided viewers with an update on her children during the season seven premiere, but for those who didn't know, the Potomac diva has two children, one son, and one daughter.

Even though her children are adults, Karen is hesitant to let them go and wishes to remain as engaged in their lives as possible.

What business does 'RHOP' star Karen Huger own?

During BravoCon 2023, Karen was questioned about her business ambitions. She was obviously touched by the clear support for her efforts, and she had some exciting news to tell.

She expressed her gratitude to everyone for their support of the La'Dame brand, saying, "It really is killing it. I really appreciate you guys."

After that, Karen gave some information on her candle line, namely the four-wick models that the company website claims will deliver "90 hours of luxurious, sensual burning time."

Karen stated, "The four-wick is out, and it is not here today," adding that the candles are still available on her website. "I'll let you know if I'm going to do five wicks," she continued.
