Northern singer-songwriter Sonny burst onto the scene last year with his debut single ‘Princess’ and ever since then, he has continued to grow from strength to strength as an artist.
The release of his critically acclaimed EP Hopeless Romance and follow-up single ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ saw the soulful singer cement his status as one to watch. Now, Sonny is ready to captivate us all over again with the release of his new single, ‘Ain’t Too Proud To Beg’.
Mixed by Joe Zook (OneRepublic, Pharrell Williams, One Direction), and written by Sonny himself, ‘Ain’t Too Proud To Beg’ is Sonny’s most heartfelt and sincere offering to date. Once again, the talented artist showcases his incredible songwriting abilities and powerful vocals, pulling at our heartstrings throughout the relatable track.
In Sonny’s words, ‘Ain’t Too Proud To Beg’ is about “looking back regretfully on a relationship. Realising you made mistakes and being desperate to put them right again. This song means so much to me because it’s based on a personal experience and I feel like it’s a relatable situation that so many people go through – not knowing what you had until it’s too late.”

Touring is at the forefront of Sonny’s exciting plans over the coming months. In addition to performing at The Great Escape for the second year in a row, he will also be supporting Catherine McGrath and Saint Raymond on their UK tours.
Sonny has also put together his own music event titled Northern Nights. As suggested by the name, the event offers up a night where Northern artists can come together to share their talent, whilst also networking with others in the industry.
