Television networks have already begun making the big decisions about what new and returning shows will be sticking around and which will be sent to the chopping block. While some successful series have received full season orders, others have been trimmed down, hinting that they won't be around for much longer. Lucky for fans of the freshman crime drama, FOX picked up Rosewood for a full season soon after it premiered! Unfortunately for fans of the series, midseason hiatus time is now upon us. So, when will Rosewood return for the rest of Season 1?

The show follows the extremely charming pathologist Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr., played by Morris Chestnut, who works with Miami homicide detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) solving crimes using his skills. With a premise like that, it's no wonder fans want it back ASAP. So, it's a relief to know Rosewood will return March 2, and, while you wait, you have time to try out some new series, catch up on some ongoing shows, and maybe get some work done (I mean, if you absolutely have to do that last thing). If you're not sure what to watch while Rosewood's on its midseason hiatus, I've got you covered! Here are five shows (some ongoing, some that have finished) to tide you over until March.

1. Burn Notice

Charismatic main character? Check. Set in the humid Miami heat? Check. Exciting and fun action? Check. Burn Notice ran for seven seasons on USA following former CIA agent Michael Westen as he searched for who burned him and used his special set of skills to help some locals along the way. All seven seasons are available on Netflix, ready and waiting for you to marathon them.

2. Royal Pains

When Dr. Hank Lawson was blacklisted by the medical community in New York City, he and his brother set up a concierge practice in the Hamptons. Interesting medical mysteries and fun brotherly humor are set to the backdrop of sunny summery New York beaches in Royal Pains. Sound good? The first six seasons are available to stream on Netflix.

3. Dexter

Another crime drama, this Showtime series focuses on Miami P.D.'s blood pattern specialist Dexter Morgan, who also happens to be a sociopathic serial killer — but the good kind of serial killer! The show grew in popularity over its eight-season run, and now the entire series is available to watch on Showtime's website as well as Netflix.

4. Empire

If you haven't been sticking around after Rosewood to watch Empire, you should! The family/music industry drama has received plenty of praise from viewers and critics alike. If you haven't seen it, you're in luck because the first three episodes are available for free on Hulu, and the rest of the series is available on Hulu Plus.

5. Second Chance

Okay, so this show hasn't quite premiered yet — it hits FOX on Jan. 13 — but it's another of the network's freshman series. Second Chance (previously called Lookinglass, then The Frankenstein Code) follows a police officer who is brought back to life in a younger man's body. Given a second chance at life, will he make the same mistakes he did before? With such an interesting premise, this could be a fun watch.

So, although there's a few months until Rosewood returns, there are plenty of shows to tide you over!
