A Wollongong car dealer and developer sold his Woolloomooloo Wharf apartment within days of listing for circa $12m.
Michael Corban, who runs Corban Automative in Wollongong along with several other businesses and is also a property developer, bought the apartment in Woolloomooloo’s Finger Wharf at 327/6E Cowper Wharf Roadway for $3.4m in 2011.

He listed it with LJ Hooker Double Bay’s David Malouf in an expressions of interest campaign with a guide of $10.5m to $11m, who had it sold within five days.
Corban, who developed the Novotel in Wollongong in the early 1980s, said: “I was very impressed.”
It was a huge week for Malouf, who notched up $20m worth of big deals.
But the wharf sale was the highlight.
He quickly had young families and corporate couples interested in the penthouse-style residence, with four bedrooms, four bathrooms and four car spaces.
It’s an amalgamation of three apartments — 300 sqm of internal space — and has been dramatically transformed in a recent designer renovation.
The residence has a range of living and entertainment areas with harbour views and a new kitchen with top-of-the-range European gas appliances, including a double Miele oven, steamer and Bosch gas cooktop.
